Background History
National Book Development Foundation (YPBN) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) which was established on 23 March 2003. YPBN established to respond to the government to develop the industry and develop a culture of reading among Malaysians.
Studies show that Malaysians are in the category of people who lack in reading. According to UNESCO, approximately only 46% of the public are serious reader. They are students and professionals. Recognising this, YPBN play a role to help increasing the campaign to inculcate the reading culture of the Malaysian society in order to achieve the national vision.
Malaysia is also a lack of book publisher that produces books of high quality. Approximately 90% of books in libraries across the country are imported from abroad. Therefore, YPBN responsible for supporting talented authors and new publishers to promote Malaysia as a center of knowledge in the region.
Objektif
- Assist and cooperate with the parties who run the action and reading campaign at the local, state and national level.
- Help parties which organize book fairs to promote the culture of reading among the public.
- A study to identify reading materials of interest to the community.
- Promote books and developing a knowledge society through reading cultural agenda and sharing of knowledge and intelligence through the carnival events and awards.
- Creating a Book Collection Centre in collaboration with local companies and government agencies.
- Collecting used books and present them to libraries, especially in rural areas.
- Cooperate with foreign publishers such as Indonesia, Brunei and Cairo.
- National Book Awards to give recognition to book industry activators.
- Launching the Malaysian Book Academy activities to develop employees in publications such as writers, editors, layout artists and designers in book state and district level.

TUAN HAJI HASAN HAJI HAMZAH
Tuan Haji Hamzah Hasan is a pioneer in the development of the book industry in Malaysia. Holds a degree in literature and journalism. Active as a prolific writer and analyst with extensive experience in the field of publishing for more than 30 years. He is also active as an entrepreneur and leading private sector organizations involved in the publishing industry, telecommunications and multimedia. He has led several key industry associations and international books. Former President of the Contractors Association of Malaysia, General Secretary of the Task Force Malay Unity, Book Expo Chairman, Chairman of the National Book Award, the Chairman of the Forum and Chairman of the International Book Conference. She represented Malaysia in the international book industry conferences. He is the publisher of Encyclopedia Malaysiana (Volume 18), Encyclopedia of Islamic Heritage & the Arts (Volume 11), Encyclopedia of World Literature (Volume 9), Global Encyclopedia (Volume 21) and Encyclopedia of Hansard (Vol 210). Among the books written by him is Mahathir The Great British Hero (1991), Muslims in the State Infidel (1984) and many other books and political history of the nation. p>

ABU HANIFIAH MD SALEH
He was educated at the National School Serkat Pontian Johor, obtained a Diploma in Wood Technology and Forest Management Career Institute of Technology, Shah Alam. He served as a Research Officer under the Office of the Chairman of Montfort University Of East London branch, based in Kuala Lumpur as well as the Secretary of Labor to Dato Hj Ahmad Ahmad Abdullah & Goh firm Public Accountant Singapore - Penang - Malaysia.
Cleans fitness in the field of ICT, Publishing and Consultancy with international partners within and outside the country. He was also involved as a member of the Technical Group in addressing Y2K Solutions and National ICT Steering Committee under the Ministry of Technology and ABLE Y2K under the Prime Minister, Government of Malaysia, Johor State Government and Grant SMIDEC Y2K and ICT under the Ministry of International Trade for the things of E- commerce and Promotion Grant for entrepreneurs entrepreneurs Small and medium enterprises across the country.
As the Secretary of Labor and the National Book Development Foundation internationalism he engaged fitness completed work - work to develop korespondan and integration into society groups authors and publishing companies ranked in Asia, Africa, Europe, America, China, India and around the world.
Among korespondan being actively dimajuka at this time was with a group of engineers at home and abroad to strengthen the publishing and textbook solutions Environment, Green Technology and tackle global warming through the Technical Secretariat JKASUKM-Jpz 2007 with the theme "Towards a Global Engineering and Construction sustainable ", Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi, Malaysia., International Technical seminar on SME-CAU-Jpz 2010, organized by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Chung au University and Consultant Centre, Seoul, Korea.International Technical seminar on SME-CAU-Jpz-BEM ON GREEN TECHNOLOGY aND ENTREPRENEURSHIP tOWARDS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, 2012 organized by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Chung au University, Centre Consulting Engineers and Board of Engineers Malaysia.

DATO' DR. MOHAMAD MANSOR ABDULLAH
Dr Mohamad Mansor, a former Professor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in education and counseling from La Salle University, Louisiana State University, USA, he has extensive experience in the fields of education, counseling and writing scientific books, novels and journals locally and internationally, also a Malay literary analysts and activists. He is also currently the Chairman of the Malaysian Career Foundation (YKM), a registered independent organization that supports the Human Capital Development Agenda of the State.

TUAN HAJI ZULKIFLI HAJI ZAINAL ABIDIN
Tuan Haji Zulkifli is a lecturer and consultant accredited and certified by CITD (UK), and also holds an MBA in Human Resource Development. He is a man of vast experience in the field of Training and Workforce Development and has been involved in training and human capital development for over 25 years. He is also active in providing advice to several non-governmental organizations, within and outside the country.

TUAN HAJI HAZIZAN HAJI HARUN
Haji Hazizan an ICT consultant who has long been involved in the field of project management and the Islamic Banking sector specific initiatives, whether in Malaysia or International level. A Diploma in Banking from the Mara Institute of Technology (now UiTM), he is an ICT and banking executives who have extensive experience in managing the operations of Commercial Banks (Bank of Commerce) more than 25 years. He is currently active in the field of advisory and consultancy services in several local financial institutions and was also active in the IT and telecommunications industries.

MOHD ZAKRY SA'ED
Mohd Zakry holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) from International Islamic University Malaysia and is a qualified advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya (non-practicing). Extensive experience in corporate law and he has served as counsel to the board of several companies and organizations are listed in the local and international stock exchanges, as well as worked on several cases in the High Court and Court of Appeal. He has spread its wings in the field is being appointed as a legal editor at Thomson Reuters, an international media and publishing organizations, where he has served in the organization for over 5 years. He is currently active in the field of corporate management, publishing and editorial in the local and international levels, in addition to acting as legal adviser to the National Book Development Foundation and related organizations. P>
General Manager
MOHD RAZALI BAHAUDIN
Mohd Razali holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (MBA) (Finance) from the United States and is a former executive at one of the government-owned bank that generates and supports simple and downstream sectors of the industry. He has extensive experience in finance and project management, and consultancy. He is a speaker and consultant commissioned by The World Association of Training for Development, based in Washington DC United States, the holder of Certificate in Business Diagnostics and Analysis for SMEs (the joint venture company of Japan, the Bank and the Bank, the Development Bank of Malaysia) and has been directly involved in analyzing the financial position of the corporate, small and medium businesses as well as active control of courses and training workshops and consulting in the areas of education, leadership, career and business development of micro, small and medium enterprises.

MOHD KHAIRUDIN SA'ED
Serving as Project Manager, Mohd Khairuddin has extensive experience in management and publishing, printing, multimedia, in addition to managing projects related to telecommunications and the supply of services. Bekelulusan Diploma (BA) degree in management and business development of Universiti Industri Selangor (UNISEL), he has also been involved in the publishing industry for over 10 years and is now active in the management and operations of several travel agencies and national organizations, including the success of several programs under the auspices of the National Book Development Foundation.
Operations Coordinator
ZAINAL RASHIDIN
Serving as Operations Coordinator, Rashidin Zainal has extensive experience in the field fotograph, video, new media and multimedia, magazine publishing, film, marketing, and production of creative products. He has been involved in the creative publishing industry for over 20 years and is now active in the management and operations of several travel agencies and national organizations, including the success of several programs under the auspices of the National Book Development Foundation.
Operations Executive
AMIR ASYRAF BIN MOHD RAZALI
Serving as Director of Operations. Amir Ashraf holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at one of the local universities. He has extensive experience in the field of mechanical engineering and design, as well as active in managing the operations and programs under the auspices of the National Book Development Foundation.
